Why Wall Anchoring Matters in Amsterdam

Tall furniture like wardrobes and bookcases must be anchored to the wall so it can't tip over. IKEA includes the brackets, but not the plugs and screws, because those depend on your wall. Amsterdam homes have everything from old brick to concrete to hollow plasterboard, and each needs a different drill bit and anchor. I bring the right fixings and make sure it holds.

Renting? Most contracts allow small drill holes as long as they're repaired when you move out.

Pricing

Simple and transparent: up to €150 per call-out including the first hour, €60 per extra hour, or €30 if the job runs up to 20 minutes into the next hour. Travel within Amsterdam is free.

Example: a large wardrobe usually takes 2–3 hours, which comes to about €210–€270. A bed or desk often fits within the first hour, so €150.
